The 2025 Dunedin Tattoo Expo will bring some of New Zealand’s best Tattoo Artists to Dunedin.

Explore the booths and check out what your favourite tattoo artists are creating.

This event is about more than just getting tattoo’s, its about embracing the tattoo culture as a whole.

Tattoo Artists attending the expo will be entering their work in various different CATEGORIES to try and take home the top prizes.

some of the categories will include:

Best AMERICAN Traditional - Best Ta Moko - Best Polynesian -
Best Japanese/Oriental - Best Pop Culture - Best Script -
Best Body Panel - Best Neo Traditional and plenty more!

there will also be awards given out for ‘Tattoo of the Day’ (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), ‘Best Multi-day Tattoo’ and the big prize ‘tattoo of the show’ which will have its own “very special” trophy.

Downstairs from the main floor in the glenroy theatre, we will be hosting an artist market with a walk-up barbershop.

Artists will be selection of local artists from Dunedin and surrounding towns. displaying their talent and creations for you to purchase and take home.

the barbershop will be a walk-up style shop and operated by the renowned Dunedin Barbershop Mai Barbers.

The side street at the entrance to the glenroy theatre, Harrop Street, will be closed off for the weekend and transformed into Food truck alley.

Food truck alley will host a selection of local food trucks from around dunedin, serving up delicious meals and drinks for you to recharge yourself throughout the day

no alcohol is permitted in Food truck alley.
